Villages

As a collective, we long to create safe, intimate, and redemptive spaces for the soul to heal, restore, and flourish in community with trusted companions. One of the primary ways we do this is through Villages. Here we are invited into places of authenticity and vulnerability as we explore and experience formation, respond to our creativity and serve one another.

In our next series we are going to focus on our current creative story. It's our hope to see everyone in motion as we identify and work towards our chosen creative endeavor. These gatherings become a supportive 'check-in' as we each take our next step. It could be something we are already working on or an artistic endeavor we want to begin. Could be something we need to do for our clientele/audience or a creative undertaking for our own enjoyment (or both). Throughout the series we'll have different artists and entrepreneurs share their experience and art with us as we tackle some practical topics and spiritual formation questions that specifically relate to this part of our lives. It's a time to grow as we support one another in the celebrations and the struggles of the artistic journey and life in Nashville. To find understanding and spiritual grounding in a community of creative explorers.

Come — let’s keep creating the Journey Arts Collective together!

Structure

The series will last 10 gatherings (2 a month over 5 months). The first gathering is an introduction night for you to hear what we'll be doing and explore whether you want to participate. At the second gathering we'll officially begin the series and at third lock in the small groups (what we call villages). We meet in the main space with our villages sitting at round tables for discussion.

Expectations

To create stability and momentum for a village we are keeping the same people in a group and making a commitment to one another to attend until the topics completion. There will be 6 to 8 people in a village. Those that join us after our small groups have been formed are welcomed into an 'open' village that evolves from week to week. We are always pleased to see new people.

Transition

At the end of a topic we’ll take a short break before we begin a new theme as part of a new series. When we begin we'll again hold an introduction night that you are welcome to attend. If you want to commit to the new village series you are welcome to. You can remain in your previous village or get to know more artists in a new village.
